Europe 2009

All,

It's been an exciting summer and as Fall approaches we just returned from 3 weeks in Europe! Nicole had been promising to visit one of her best friends Nicole for awhile now so we finally booked the trip and made it happen. Our vacation began in Geneva where we decompressed from jet lag for a couple of days (and the ladies had massages while Dad slept with Piper!). We then headed to a small mountain town called Gryon where Nicole and Ahriel live. It was beautiful with a ski resort right in their backyard. We spent several days hiking and exploring the area. We even took a day trip to Chamonix! After Gryon we borrowed Nicole's car and drove up to Germany stopping in a small town in France's Alsace wine country on the way for a couple of days. In Germany we stayed with Nicole's cousin Brian, Sarah, and Piper's 4th cousin Madalyn. Piper and Madalyn got along wonderfully. We even attended a their Wurstmarkt wine festival which is over 570 years old! Needless to say, see the pics of us drinking wine by the Liter! Finally we made our back to Switzerland to another mountain town called Grindelwald, home to the great Iger! It was absolutely beautiful there, one of our favorite places on the trip!

I hope you enjoy the photo's and I'll keep em' coming as Piper continues to grow, has her top teeth coming in, and is really anxious to walk as she continues to crawl all over our house these days!

Cheers,
Piper's Dad
