Happy Holidays from the Luchsingers!

Hello from Piper's Dad:

Piper asked me to write an entry and tell everyone a little more about how we are doing. Last week we set-up our tripod and took pictures for our holiday card. I really like this photo because of the warm light and nice colors around the fireplace. Christmas is my favorite time of year and this year is made even more special with our little girl. Below are a couple of other solo pics as well.

It's been almost three weeks now since Piper was born and things are going pretty good. Mom and Dad are definitely getting used to
sleeping in increments throughout the night. We actually had a 4 hour stretch last night, wow! Piper seems to get fussy late at night, around 10pm and it can last as long as Midnight :(

Other than her fussy periods she's been wonderful. It's amazing to see how she changes every day. Her face is getting more animated and her eyes are more aware. She's probably about 8 lbs. now and still long. We're convinced she'll be taller than mom, maybe between 5'4 - 5'6.

Nicole has been a rock star BTW. She really is great with Piper and is doing a great job every day, even on the tough ones! While we haven't been able to ski yet we have managed to get Piper out to a party (my company holiday party), grandma's house, lunch and a dinner. So all-in-all we're doing our best to keep motivated and show her the world.

So we wish everyone a Merry Christmas! We'll be at Grandpa Fishs' Christmas Eve then Grandma Teresa Christmas Day. I'll let Piper tell you all about her first Christmas later this week! :)

Cheers,
Adam

Adam, I forgot to tell you that you use to cry like that at night sometimes, also. The very first night you cried and cried ... I tried everything I knew and you just kept crying ... I finally shut the door and waited by the door until you fell asleep .. which wasn't too much longer ... I sang every song I knew .. Daddy would rock you and rock you until he feel asleep beside your crib. Take heart as my mother would tell me "This too shall pass."
